At Nash Hill we consdier an activity "therapeutic" if the person engagined benefits from participating. We are NOT therapists. We are, however, riding instructors certified through the North Amerian Riding for the Handicapped Association as having met the required training and professional skills needed to provide a  riding experience that can provide a "therapeutic" benefit. Ultimately, our program is aimed at providing safe, fun and engaging lessons to riders with special life circumstances.  If you have any questions about our program, please don't hesitate to call us at 716-257-5257.

Benefits of therapeutic riding can include:
* Improves participants' sequencing, patterning and motor planning skills.
* Improves visual/spatial perception and hand-eye coordination.
* Improves sensory integration and concentration
* improves walking for those who may never have walked or are learning again.
* Strengthens spinal and pelvic muscles.
* Stretches tight/spastic muscles and can result in a decrease of spastically.
*  Increases the range of motion, balance, flexibility and joint mobility
* Improves the muscle tone, trunk control, posture and coordination
* Increases fine motor skills
* Improves cognitive skills, speech and language skills

"On arrival the staff and volunteers are always welcoming and excited to see us. The facilities are clean, well organized and ready for our lessons. Our lessons are based on safety and are always  pleasurable. I would recommend Nash Hill to young and old with or  without special needs. My experience has been fun, engaging and great exercise too!"
